dexddd Posted March 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Do you have a record locator? If so, put that in to see. Our trip last fall from dtw was to lhr but I'd easily see Gatwick as an option.
bluesea777 Posted March 19, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2023 LHR is London Heathrow, LGW is London Gatwick. As @dexddd says, look in your record locator for the airport code.

julig22 Posted March 19, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2023 They will either use Gatwick or Heathrow, it just depends on what's available when they book your flights. They've always flown me in/out of Heathrow.
jimsig Posted March 19, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2023 As others have said it will depend. I know this doesn't help you but as of today, according to Flightaware, if they fly you non stop on United or BA it will be LHR. If they fly you with a connection on TAP (Lisbon), Icelandair (Keflavik), or Air Lingus (Dublin) it will be LGW. I'm not sure if they use all those airlines but they are all big carriers.
