JenniferMB Posted March 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2023 My husband and I will be in Puerto Vallarta in May. We will be doing the excursion rhythms of the night. Any recommendations on what to do for the first half of the day would be greatly appreciate. The rhythms of the night excursion starts at 3 PM. Thank you. Theosprey247 Posted March 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2023 Take a taxi to the Malecon lots of shops and restaurants there. Plus loads of interesting statues to look at.
Ine Posted March 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2023 After the Malecon continue to Playa Los Muertes with many restaurants on the beach and the pier to walk on. https://vallartainfo.com/downtown-map/ and https://vallartainfo.com/vallarta-southside-old-town-map/ You will find a lot of information and maps on that side.

Uber is available and while they have dynamic pricing (constantly changes) I've found it consistently 3-5X cheaper

sfaaa Posted April 1, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2023 US$1pp per trip. Bus stop is located right outside the cruise pier.
Rare Tapi Posted April 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2023 We took a cab to the Malecón. We were dropped off right at the beginning and just walked. Along the way, we stopped at the Church of our Lady of Guadalupe, at the Puerto Vallarta sign, and at Playa de los Muertos for photo ops. Pro tip: If you get thirsty and need a beer or two to quench your thirst, don’t stop at one of the bars along the way. Go to one of the OXXO stores (like a 7-11) and get 16oz Tecates for $1. 😀
Ashland Posted April 2, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We have a taxi driver take us to the end of the Malecon (by the bridge) and walk back then take a taxi back to the port. $5.00 pp that's cheap enough for us. We used to take the bus but now it seems sooo crowded.

Not really, you will find various restaurants where you are welcome but of course you need to buy drinks and food.
