Miami as a cruise stop

Hi, we’re taking a cruise from NYC in December and one of our stops is Miami. Any suggestions for fun things to do in Miami with 3 nerdy teens?(Not a fan of beaches)😀

Nerdy teens?  Take them to South Beach.  Perhaps it will awaken something in them.

 

Seriously, Winwood is pretty cool. So is Vizcaya.

Take a cab over to South Beach. Have a nice walk followed by a nice lunch and a few drinks. The area is absolutely beautiful.

What do they like? 

 

Depending on time of year, Everglades in the winter is great. You could also just relax around Downtown and Brickell. There is a decent science museum and modern art museum in Downtown. Head over to Little Havana for Cuban lunch and walk around a little bit.

What's the cab fare for this? And how easy or difficult is it to get a cab back to the ship?

I'm unsure what the cost is but in most cases there are plenty of cabs available at both the Port Of Miami and in South Beach.

My teenagers loved walking around Lincoln Road. Tons of shops & restaurants.
