4 night Dining package question

We have purchased the 3 night speciality dining packages on board many times and have bought them per person. 2 x 3 nights.

 

Later  this  year we are travelling with another couple. We would  like 2 nights each in the Speciality restaurants. My Question is, can each cabin book the 1 x 4 dining package when we get on board and then the four of us then each have two nights each? Or does it not work like that? Are  the packages strictly per person or per cabin ?  Never crossed my mind before because we always had 3 nights.

There would obviously be a saving this way,  than if the four of us each booked 2 nights.  I’m sure they can let me know onboard but wondered if anyone has done this recently. Many thanks.
