I’m sure it does. I was already scolded when I mentioned I’d been to all the bars.

If she is like my mom was, she probably is annoyed by the Kools too. 😄

Enjoying your review. I always debate doing a semi-live review before a cruise and wind up passing. Maybe I'll finally do one on Wonder in June, we'll see.

@OCSC Mike, that would be awesome! I’m planning on booking Wonder for our next cruise and I’d love to hear your thoughts on her.

Tell them you were scouting out the best bars to take them once they’re on board with you!

I’m sorry your day at Coco Cay was so rainy. Hope the person who needed to be evacuated will get the treatment they need and will be ok.

We are pulling into Fort Lauderdale. I’m laying in bed and am too lazy to take a pic. I headed downstairs and the comedian was still going so no dj yet. I did go in for the comedian and in my opinion he wasn’t good. I left after about 10 minutes. A lot of folks dressed up for white party. Boleros was hopping but other than that the ship seemed pretty dead considering it is only 11 and the casino is shut down. I did hear a couple of songs from the guy in the pub and I thought he was pretty good.

Just curious, in these situations wouldn’t it be more medically sound and smarter financially for the cruise line to charter an emergency medical transport from the Bahamas for the patient?

Eg every minute the casino is closed… and that’s not even figuring in the added fuel cost etc…

helicopter transfer can be very risky and it can be not safe depending on the weather. a helicopter also has limited range on how far it can fly. Overall it is much safer for the ship and easier on the person being transported for the ship to return to port, any port

WOW,

Bummer.  Hope that person is ok.

Too bad for you all.  Hope it does not spoil your vacations.

We've been on quite a few cruises, never encountered this.

Wishing you a better day today.

It was no big deal for me. It probably only had a negative impact on folks that get sea sick. The ship was really rocking when we were flying back to Florida. I’d imagine some folks got ill.

So it is about 8 am on our first sea day. We are back out at sea somewhere. A lot of lightening last night. It is still cloudy and raining. I guess all the chair hogs got to sleep in.

Normally on a sea day I would head to Johnny Rockets for breakfast but I think I’ll go to the MDR with this weather. I had planned to spend the day in the Solarium but I would need the sun to join me. So probably casino and a nap. I’ll have to check out the schedule at breakfast and see if anything interest me. I’d be down with one on those classes where they teach you how to fold napkins or some other useless talent. We will see.

If I ever did a solo, I would totally do one like this. On a family cruise, not as much down time, so it would likely be more like a nightly/next morning recap of the previous day. I'd just have to commit to taking food/drink pics and then remember where/what I was eating/drinking. Given how much I eat, it might be a daunting task. 🤣

And here comes the sun. The clouds just broke. I’m sure the chair hogs are jumping out of bed and running to the pool deck. I forgot the MDR doesn’t open for breakfast until 9. That is too late for me. So Johnny rockets it is. Wow the weather changed fast.

The new golden room for those that are interested. This is the old Jazz place right next to the Diamond lounge. It is completely non-smoking. I think it opened in the last few weeks. It is very small with 3 table games and a handful of slots.

I will say regarding the regular casino that the non-smoking side has been busy. I smoke so haven’t spent much time on that side but I don’t think it is smoky at all. You can obviously smell it over there but to say it is smoky is an exaggeration at least so far this trip.

Any time I’ve gone into the casino before 8 pm I’ve had to request they open a table for me. I think all the dealers are on the nonsmoking side. Not a big deal and I think the longest I’ve waited is 4 minutes. Just different from prior cruises.

Getting started early. Lime and coconut 🥥

Nevermind, I missed you saying you really liked it. I was going to ask how it was.

I just saw another lady with one and we were talking about how good it is. It is creamy and a little sweet. It was almost like a coating for your stomach. Very good. One of my favorites so far. I’ve been trying all the drinks but the overly sweet ones are hard on my stomach especially if they are acidic. The 🍋🥥 gets an A+.

Sounds good! I'd try it in June even if you said you hated it (that's what free drinks are for) but good to hear. Haven't been on a ship with Lime & Coconut before.

I went through my own list of things to try over my last few cruises and since I'm not a huge drinker and pretty much stick to rum, vodka, and tequila, that's the one new drink that jumped out at me.

The captain came on a little while ago and said our weather will be improving as we get closer to Cozumel. 95% of the pool chairs were occupied by towels within an hour of the sun breaking through.

Tip… I was just speaking with a woman who said the rocking of the ship last night made her very ill. If you are feeling seasick just go to guest services and they will give you medication for free to help you feel better.

I really like sitting over by the aqua theater. Lots of seating in the shade and not many folks when a show isn’t on.

I was just chatting with my mama on the phone and she mentioned Vintages. Now I’m not a wine drinker but am intrigued as I’ve never been and I don’t hear it talked about much. I have seen one video that showed the food (not included in UDP) and it looked pretty good. Im going to find out the hours today and see if I can get in there and sample some of the offerings.

I did get a text last night from my mom after she read here. She would be fine with me going to playmakers. Permission granted. 🤣🤣

So I dropped into Playmakers and ordered a gold post margarita. I’m not gonna lie, I’m not sure I’m going to like this one but I’ll try it.

i didn’t realize they have an owners box you can reserve. It is $100 and is good for one game with 10 person capacity. It includes 2 pitchers of beer and 2 appetizers. If you are a big sports fan and your game will be on during your cruise seems like a great deal. The box has two large screen tvs in it.

That's one of my favorite drinks but it's definitely not for everyone.

It was salty and spicy. I drank half of it. I didn’t expect to like it. The only time I order a margarita is in a Mexican restaurant when the bar only has tequila.
