Odyssey of the seas deck 13

Anyone have any pics or experience with balcony’s on deck 13. Concerned that the overhang is big and will feel very closed in.

We have had balconies on deck 13 on Ovation, Quantum and Anthem.  I wouldn’t say you feel closed in, but it wasn’t a great floor for our Alaska cruise.  It blocks your view to look up at the Glaciers.

How about the beams that support the "overhang"?

No direct experience on Deck 13, but was in Odyssey 12630 last month and that's as close as I'd want to get to the overhang and support beams.  We were in an extended balcony on a forward facing hump, no beam interference, but they'd be more in the way on normal balconies.  Given the choice I'd take deck 11, but would not book 13.  The x630's are great cabins BTW.

We liked the balcony on deck 13. It protected you somewhat from the wind and rain. It does block your view of the stars though. Otherwise we thought the view was great.

They never bothered us, but honestly the only thing that I would want to book deck 13 is due to the fact that it is shady and doesn’t get much sun.

That is a such a subjective thing, you won't be able to tell even you had pics or a video. Yes, the overhang blocks the sun quite a bit and yes, the piers supporting the deck 14 overhang can be noticeable - how much that bothers you is very personal.

We have just won a bid up from an obstructed balcony on Deck 6 (although I was told it was between lifeboats) to on on Deck 13 - not such a good bargain then?

I stay in the forward area where there is no overhang on deck 13.  It's only an overhang in the middle area.
