Tunisian Dinar for Cruisers

My June cruise is stopping one day (9 hrs) in La Goulette (Tunis). There will be shopping opportunities on my ship-led shore excursion, and I know that using dinars will allow me to shop more places, since cash is king in Tunisia. I can get a lot of info on getting Tunisian Dinar for people flying in, but what about for cruisers, especially day-tripping cruisers.

Does anyone have experience with this?

TIA!

No experience yet but our plan for later this year is to get local cash from an ATM - that is how we always get local cash and never had a problem yet.
