Vagabond Knight Posted April 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2023 Just wondering if I need to watch for a sale or not before our January cruise. I did search this forum and couldn't find anything that indicated either way. Thanks in advance!
sgttami Posted April 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2023 I've NEVER seen Cheers on sale. EVER! Cheers!

Joebucks Posted April 13, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2023 By itself, I have never seen that. However, I have seen it bundled with fares to where it came out to being 60-70% of the incremental cost vs buying Cheers yourself. I have also seen bundled fares where it was more expensive that buying it by itself.
Rare ninjacat123 Posted April 13, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2023 I purchase Cheers on my Cruise Manager paying with discounted gift cards from AARP. That saves me an additional 10%. Actually, I pay off my cruise, purchase excursions, specialty restaurants, etc using my AARP gift cards. Hope that helps you!
mz-s Posted April 13, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2023 Not since the initial restart, no.
asalligo Posted April 13, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2023 No, it does not. Once John Heald offered a discount Black Friday of either 2018 or 2019, but that is the only one I have ever seen. It kind of sells itself, they do not have to offer discounts. People who know they cannot break even often buy it.

AARP gift cards are definitely the way to go to save a few dollars. Become a member, purchase gift cards, cancel membership if need be.
Kanyon71 Posted April 13, 2023 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2023 AARP is how we paid for our last one and will do the same for our upcoming cruise. $50 off every $500 gift card is hard to pass up. 🙂
kelkel2 Posted April 14, 2023 #11 Share Posted April 14, 2023 Aside from when cruising restarted, I’ve never seen it on sale.
pinklucky61 Posted April 14, 2023 #12 Share Posted April 14, 2023 CCL casino deals usually include Drinks On Us while playing in casino, some lucky people get drinks anywhere through the casino. Get 1500 points in casino to get free drinks while playing. That's on 7 day cruises, not sure about points on shorter cruises.

CaptG Posted April 14, 2023 #14 Share Posted April 14, 2023 My upcoming cruise on the Horizon was booked under rate code RU3 which is cheers to you. I got the cheers package for $300 for the both of us for a week. Sounded like a deal to me.
