Does the Chef's Table still include wine pairing?

Did the Chef's Table on Carnival back in 2011 and in 2016 and loved it both times!  Thinking about it for our January cruise.

 

Wondering, do they still include wine pairing with each course?  Asking because we did Chef's Table on one of the Celebrity ships last year (which was awful, BTW) and they wanted an additional $89 + gratuity per person to add in a wine pairing, which we thought was absolutely ridiculous.

When I did it on magic in February they just gave us a choice of white or red wine.

Yes, but it wasn't as free flowing as previous Chef's Tables (before COVID).  Maybe that was just our Chef's Table🤷‍♀️

They offer free red or white with the meal. It's probably similar to what is offered on the first night at the steakhouse, not sure.

 

As I recall each course also has a recommended pairing at an additional charge.

I think so but I’m not sure. I’m not a big wine drinker and I had cheers so I wasn’t too concerned about it. I feel like we probably had two glasses on my end of the table.

Carnival doesn't do wine pairing. Just offer white or red.

Royal does actual wine pairing.

Unlimited red or white wine at the Chef's Table.

 

Carnival only does wine paring at the 555 Steakhouse.

 

1/2 Glass With Each Course For $20

BTW, just to clarify when I said "it was awful" regarding our Celebrity experience, I was only referring to the Chef's Table.  The rest of the ship/cruise was marvelous, as always.
