Emerald-any issues with balcony cabins all the way forward?

Hello,

Looking at a late booking on Emerald this summer and currently the only cabins showing are the first few forward cabins on either Aloha, Baja or Caribe.

Any concerns or issues with these cabins that we should be aware of?  Are they regular balcony cabins or cove balcony cabins?  Will be prepared for different motion and some additional wind in that location.  Looking at either Mexican Riviera or California coastal if that helps.  Thanks!

Other than location there should not be any issues. They are all standard balcony cabins. Interiors will all be the same as other balcony category cabins. Aloha and Baja cabins  will have 9ft. x 5ft covered balconies. Cabins A201/2 and B 201/2 balconies will have a steel bulkhead forward. Caribe deck cabins will have 9ft x 9ft balconies that are half covered. Cabins C101/2 will also have the steel bulkhead forward.

Don't know what a cove balcony is. There is no cove balcony category on the Emerald Princess.

I would think "cove" would mean cut from the hull. Look at the old Sun, Sea, Dawn Princess balconies for examples.

 

The only issue I have with forward balconies is more movement. I would go for Caribe as the balconies are larger and half covered and half open (as @skynight mentioned).
