Sigyn Posted April 30, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2023 What's the best way to know if prices drop on a cruise I booked for 2024?

Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted April 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2023 Go to Royal's website and price check? We booked through a TA, saved $2300 (vs. direct) over three cabins, but I noted what the 'current' RCI price would have been if we booked through them. So I occasionally just check what Royal's price is and compare it to what I noted.

Desert Cruizers Posted April 30, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2023 I will check prices on the Cruise line site regularly for any drops, then notify my TA for verification. I have already had 3 drops for our Explorer cruise next April.
smokeybandit Posted April 30, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2023 I haven't seen a price drop on any of my cruises since last May.

Or you'll get an "Unable to add" error. It's consistently inconsistent.
smokeybandit Posted April 30, 2023 #11 Share Posted April 30, 2023 You can usually get past Unable to Add by clearing your cache/cookies

Booking early isn’t always the best price as some people say.
BennyandBo Posted April 30, 2023 #14 Share Posted April 30, 2023 Prices drop??? LOL. I don't think you have to worry about that too much anymore.
HaveWeMetYet Posted May 1, 2023 #15 Share Posted May 1, 2023 1 hour ago, BennyandBo said: Prices drop??? LOL. I don't think you have to worry about that too much anymore. Yes you do. Alaska prices have been going down. Rebooked twice and saved 400. As far as watching for price drops there is no easy way. A watch list just gets you advertised price without crown and anchor discount, senior, or residency unless that is in there somewhere.
mspink98 Posted May 1, 2023 #16 Share Posted May 1, 2023 Keep doing mock bookings. There used to be some great third party monitoring services, but they have gone the way of the dinosaur, unfortunately.
