  • Host Kat changed the title to Venezia November 9 - 20, 2023

FYI to all,

This Roll Call title had to be edited. This is due to the following portion of How To: Create A New Roll Call:

  •  In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year.
    • When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format:    Example: January 1, 2016
    • Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will ensure your new Roll Call topic appear in search results

Hope this will be helpful!

Happy sails,

Host Kat

We booked this cruise a few months ago. Actually cancelled a cruise to Greenland in August aboard the Carnival Legend to book this instead. So far we have reserved Il Viaggio for dinner one night. Looking forward to the five sea days. I am anxious to compare it to our upcoming cruise in Europe aboard the MSC Preziosa in September.

We are definitely excited about the sea days!  Going to reserve Fahrenheit 551 for my wife’s birthday!! We booked this cruise back in April. We got o e of those great offers from Carnival that could not pass up.  Looking forward to St Marteen, the DR as those are 2 ports we have not seen.

Hi all, my husband and I are looking forward to sailing on this beautiful ship as well!  Have been following and watching so many videos on YouTube and Facebook from some of the people from the Trans Atlantic as well as the Inaugural cruise m...she looks absolutely beautiful and so different from all the other Carnival ships.  We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and decided to book this at the last minute.  We love to cruise and had originally decided to just use our cruise end of February 2024 as our Anniversary trip even though our Anniversary is November 12th but just couldn't pass this one up!

In the DR, if you’ve never been there before, I would strongly recommend the City Tour through Iguana Mama.  We did an excellent five hour tour a few years ago.

Thanks for the advice. What was the price back then? What all did you see?

I don't remember the price, but it less expensive than going through Carnival.  I saw the tour on a ParoDeeJay video. If you search Youtube for the ParoDeeJay channel and then search for Amber Cove, you should find it.

We went up the mountain to the botanical garden, saw the statue of Jesus, visited a Rum factory, cigar shop, city center, fort, and had an authentic Dominican lunch.

We were the only people signed up that day, so it was like a private tour. You do need to walk outside the port area to meet the tour.  On the way back, there is a cab waiting that will drive you back into the port for a few dollars.

Are you concerned about reports of poor security and the ship being hot 🥵

Weare not overly concerned as things tend to get exaggerated. Also thinks will be worked out in next 3 months I’m sure

As far as the ship having spots that are warm, or reports of the casino being smoky, those things will not change. As far as the reports of fights on the last cruise, those are not security issues, those are cruiser issues.
