Rare Over from NZ Posted May 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2023 Hiya. Haven't cruised since the Medallion became a thing. They don't ship them to NZ. I gather we just pick it up at the Port.. is it much of a mission? Just line up somewhere to get it.. and then line up again somewhere to board? Or are we going to expect queues of people lining up for Medallions? Tia.

You check in as normal, the check in staff member walks over to a box containing the Medallions, finds yours, gives it to you, and then you go through security and board the ship. 4

ldubs Posted May 4, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2023 Yep, easy peasy. No extra lines or extra waiting involved.
Kay S Posted May 4, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2023 I won't be home to get mine in the mail, so I'll pick it up at the port. I've done that before, and it's not a big hassle.
symui Posted May 6, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2023 Yes, agree with the others, simple and easy to pickup at the pier. We used to have them mailed to our house before the cruise but now that Padgett charges extra to ship we pick them up at the pier and have had zero problems at the Ports of San Francisco and Vancouver.
Torfamm Posted May 6, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2023 When I’ve picked them up we went through the normal check in process at a podium then went to a counter to pick up our medallions. Even on a cruise where everyone had to pick up medallions due to a shipping delay, it was a quick process.
