FOS, deck 12 ocean view balcony?

I have booked Freedom as a surprise trip for our son and DIL, I  do have them booked on deck

8 (center) reg balcony. I see that deck 12 balcony is open, any thoughts please?

This is not their first cruise, nor first on RCC.

For us the higher the better. We had a 15 night TA on Indy deck 10 very forward, loved it.Deck 12 cabins seem a little odd and out of place.  happy cruising.

Potentially more motion being higher up and forward if that is an issue. Personally I would prefer the deck 8 location as it is more centrally located.
