We have a group of 48 (neighbors and friends) that are on the Infinity next week. Just curious....did you receive all of your excursion tickets on the first day or do they just give them to you the night before each excursion? Also, on tender ports, do you have to get in line at 7:30 in the morning to get your number or are they given to you with your excursion tickets? How is the WiFi on the ship? I am enjoying all of your tips, pictures and reviews! Thanks for posting!

that’s a big group! Sounds like fun!

we only booked one excursion thru the ship, which was on Day 2, and the tickets were in our cabin when we arrived.

we have not had a tender port on this sailing:

the Wi-Fi has been hit or miss. A few in our group have issues with it dropping and then Mot reconnecting. Mine drops occasionally but usually reconnects.

I wasn’t expecting to be able to upload photos but so far that has been pretty zippy, even with 6 photos at a time, and several MB each.

also for what it’s worth, we have the package that includes everything, (drinks, Wi-Fi, tips) and in includes up to 4 devises. On the edge, if I recall, we had the upgraded Wi-Fi, but it was only one devise.

Wow 48! They must have been a nightmare to organise!

we are also on your cruise but there are only 2 of us!

I also have a question - how is the food?

the food has been great in

all venues we’ve tried this far. Oceanview cafe, trellis dining room, etc…. Which leads to my next  post of “tips” 😎

We have finally discovered most of the venues for food and drink….

tip #1…..on day two I went looking for coffee in the morning, and it appeared the only place open was the cafe on 10. Which was buzzing with people at 6:45 am. The Celebrity  Today sheet only lists the Oceanview cafe as having “coffee and snacks”

in fact, cafe Al Baciio on Deck 5 is listed as a “bar” but that’s where we’ve been getting coffee now. Open from 6 am til midnight.

also a selection of pastries

The Oceanview Cafe is always busy…most likely because for a good portion of the morning it’s the only place to go. Trellis on 4 is only open daily from 7:30-9…..If you are suite class or aqua class, Luminae and Blu are also open in the mornings at the same time.

for lunch you have 4 options, pool grill, Oceanview, or Spa Cafe. Pretty limited options at the Spa tho. Sushi on 5 also open for a fee

The martini bar is always full. Seems to be the popular gathering spot on this sailing. Opt for Cellar Masters on 5 or the Rendezvous Lounge

the sunset bar on 10 is open the longest…. 6am-1am

we had originally planned an excursion in Seville today, until I inquired about transportation options and timing. Learned from the operator that it was around 1 hour 45 minutes each way to get to Seville. 😟 we cancelled the tour. I can’t see spending that much time in travel alone.

staying on the ship today, so more venue photos coming up later.

One of my friends on the trip wanted to know if the Sea Pass is an actual card or is it a wrist band? Thanks for all of you answers to my previous questions.

On our last cruise, all of our excursion tickets were in an envelope in our cabin when we boarded. However, on the cruise before, the tickets arrived the day before each excursion.

If you have a celebrity shore excursion booked, you don’t need a separate tender ticket. You will be advised where to meet on the ship for the excursion, and then escorted off. If you’re making your own arrangements, you need to head for a ticket when you’re ready to leave and then wait until your number is called. Depending on the numbers leaving the ship, they sometimes announce that tickets are no longer required so just to proceed to the deck to leave.

It’s a credit card style card.

Uh, what happened to the strawberries?? If those are supposed to be chocolate covered, that is a fail. I hope they tasted better than they look.

Strangest thing… they were in fact chocolate covered. But then rolled in red sugar. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I did a double take myself. They were just ok. Too sweet for me 😝

Ah, gotcha. It looks like a much thinner chocolate coating than I'm used to seeing. Perhaps because of the added red sugar.

Random thoughts, observations, musings….thru

 Day 5

paper or cloth….your choice,,,,

IMG_4728.thumb.jpeg.a46c0a719e44da517749ed5b31ddb23b.jpeg

I noticed the solarium bathroom also has a fully stocked diaper changing station, including diapers of various sizes. 👍 to celebrity. Don’t know that I’ve ever know a mom while didn’t come fully prepared for theses situations, but a back up plan is always good to have.

I’ve seen a total of two children under the age of 5, and a handful of teenagers on this sailing.

the crew on this ship is one of the happiest, most interactive and friendly I’ve seen on any sailing.

if you happen to go to the Cosmopolitan ….. look these  three up 💕

Lots of reviews commented on how bad this ship looked, but honestly there isn’t a day that I don’t see someone working on something. Case in point….

painting is constant…. My view is that the soft finishes look very new/fresh, like in most venues but the structural stuff, mirrors, glass, windows, etc are showing wear. Certainly hasn’t affected my enjoyment one iota….. with the exception of our stateroom refrigerator making an obnoxious buzzing sound one evening. They promptly arrived to service it, and when it continued to make the same bounce, they simply replaced it.

this station is the Oceanview cafe with made to order pasta is far superior to the soggy overcooked stuff that sits in the steamers in the RCI windjammer. BIG 👍 to Celeb here.

Their pizza though? Not good. 😝  Nod goes to RCI/Sorrentos in that category

Ice cream beats fro-yo any day of week….

IMG_4771.thumb.jpeg.8f2cefb20fdeeaf2bb38cc447f84aae0.jpeg

Nod to Celeb, and if you happen to prefer Fro-yo, they have it at the same station in the Oceanview Cafe

DW and I did a third-party excursion to Seville a few years ago. It convinced me to never book an independent day long excursion which travels that far from the ship. Two other passengers got detached from the group on our walk back to where the buses were parked and we were delayed leaving by about 45 minutes. It was the guide's fault as she never checked on the "pack" she was leading and the passengers couldn't keep up with her pace.
