I saw on another site yesterday someone had called Celebrity and as of June 1 the basic wifi was removed. It sounded like if you added it before you would get it still but now it's premium or nothing.

Very interesting.  Is this supposedly for all the ships?  We already had basic booked for an Aug Eclipse sailing (including 4 devices for one person... to share), so it sounds like we will get premium performance for the cheaper price?  Good for us, I guess.

Yeah, that's to be determined.  Basic and Premium WiFi are using the same system, just different speed limit put on the account.   You will find out when you do a speed test onboard!

I have a cruise with basic booked so will get basic when I'm on board.

I was playing around with mock bookings earlier and did a 'all included' in the small print it does say that will still be basic wifi but if you don't do the all included and purchase wifi after then only option is premium. I have 3 cruises booked with constellation and apex - they both show the same thing for wanting to purchase wifi (premium 1 or premium 2 devices)

I’m on Summit now.  I had 90 free loyalty minutes, and was looking at plans.  Since I’m on day three, and only need four days, it was less expensive to get the continuous 24 hour plan for one device, each day, than the length of voyage plan for the remaining days.  I can switch back and forth between iPhone and iPad.  EM
