Diamond drinks on departure day

I really think rcl posters must argue and complain more than others.

The problem is that RC does things so many different ways that each person experiences something completely different depending on ship and sail date. So no one is really wrong. You can be on the same sailing and have completely different experiences. This is being exacerbated by lots of new crewmembers who are still all not on the same page in terms of service and customer expectations.

There is a post on a social media group with someone saying they were denied using their free diamond drinks on departure day, and that this is a new rule going forward. Anyone else? On my last cruise in March, we definitely used ours.

???

Technically last day shouldn’t be included as drinks are now counted from 5 AM to 4:59 AM, so last day after 5 AM isn’t included. Last day is N + 1 day from number of nights. In a reality it’s inconsistent so some people get it and some aren’t.

Yes.  Example:  A new policy comes out and the bar manager on Explorer tells the staff to do it how he or she interprets it.  A while later some new bartenders check in off of vacation and at their last ship the policy was interpreted differently, so they keep doing it that way.  Now a variable has been introduced.  And we are off to the races on what experience a passenger will get.

You'll have to wait till a bar opens, usually around 11AM.  But after that go for it.
