“Kicker NRD”

Recommended Posts

Hi all!  Does anyone know what this stands for? I’m pricing out a cruise and last week got a price of 2781.90.  Today I get an extra 100.00 off and it says  “Kicker NRD -100.00”.   Just wondering, thanks!

Extra off on a NRD, non refundable deposit of $100 extra off. Maybe shows as flash sale?

From my days in sales, a “kicker” is just an added discount or incentive to make the deal better.  Based on how I’ve seen it show up on my bookings, I assume it’s a promo for no specific reason other than to try and stir up business.  Subject to go away at any time, since it’s unadvertised.  The NRD stands for non-refundable deposit -  meaning this particular kicker only applies when the buyer is doing a non-refundable deposit.  There may or may not be a different kicker for refundable deposit bookings.
