boobear1 Posted June 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2023 When the cruise rolls around I will have $500 of cruise cash on my account. My question is what if I don't use it all? How do i go about getting back the remaining amount of cruise cash I put down?
ngrund Posted June 8, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2023 Cruise cash is non-refundable, you don't get any back
ngrund Posted June 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2023 You can (and probably should) cancel the purchase.

Another option, I use sometimes, is I go to Cherry on Top and just buy Carnival gift cards I then take home and apply toward my next cruises (I always have a couple booked coming up). If you plan to or have another cruise booked this is a way to use any left over Cruise Cash or OBC you might have.

Joebucks Posted June 9, 2023 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2023 Cruise cash is great when grandma sends it as a gift to enjoy your vacation more. You'll be sure I will spend it. Otherwise, don't buy it in huge amounts to try to "trick" yourself into thinking you have some sort of package that doesn't exist. No one will admit on this forum that they forget the surefire trick of cashing it out. It happens. So does overspending. If you want to buy gift cards at a discount for saving money, go ahead. Otherwise, cruise cash offers you no benefit.
Rare slavigne5577 Posted June 9, 2023 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2023 Is cruise cash on a separate card than your SS card?

I'm a casino player, so I get cruise cash so I don't have to carry as much cash.

I do this so the CC doesn't have a larger sum just from the cruise all at once since I pay my card off every month. Gift cards can only be redeemed by buying an excursion or service before you cruise, otherwise you have to add them once on the ship. I had about $300 in gift cards one time and guess where they were...on the counter at home. Just my two cents!
Purvis1231 Posted June 9, 2023 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2023 Cruise Cash is a clever gimmick Carnival marketing thought up since they know people will spend it on the ship and probably more.
