Deal or no deal

We won $50 casino cash from playing Deal or no Deal 2 days ago, but have as yet to receive it. We went to guest services and was told it might take a few days to show up on our account. Well, hopefully it shows up soon as our cruise will be ending soon.

I'd go to the Casino Cashier with your card in hand in case they need to verify.  We've won Casino Cash in the past on that game and it showed up very quickly.  A few days doesn't sound right.

If you won $50 it’s not casino cash (unless they changed it in the last month). I thought I had won the $30 casino cash once and it didn’t show up on my free play. The casino didn’t have me on their list so they sent me to guest services. Imagine my surprise when I found out I had  won $50 in cash. It was added to my sign and sail card but I didn’t realize it until they checked my actual account. The casino cash is usually $30 so perhaps you have the $50 on your card already. The casino has a sheet they can check for you.

We played and won $50 but they failed to give us the winnings despite multiple trips to guest services. It makes you feel ripped off. How come they can charge your account immediately when you make a purchase, but deny paying you when you win? In the scheme of things $50 is not going to bother us , but the lack of responsibility from Carnival will.

Why go to guest services and not casino!

The $50 prize isn't casino cash, it's a credit to your Sail & Sign account.

But isn’t all forms of gambling on the cruise run by the casino ?

I don't think Deal or No Deal, or Bingo fall under the casino. Bingo winners are not paid cash, but as a credit to the Sail & Sign account which would be handled by Guest Services. The casino only handles the $30 casino cash for three matches. All other Deal or No Deal  cash prizes are paid as credits to the Sail & Sign card.

Well, we finally got our money on the day of disembarkation, after 5 trips to guest services, the casino and finally Frankie, the Cruise Director. He said they were having computer problems.

Jamman54-You are correct!  Nevertheless, we will not participate in this game again except as spectators. It is fun to watch, but the house odds are astronomical!  We have been to this game on other ships as well.  I got the feeling that Carnival is making up for lost revenue quickly with these games---Good for them because I have quite a bit of Carnival stock!

We always seem to break even or a little bit ahead. We buy the 3 for $50. On our last cruise on the Celebration we won two $30 casino cash, and the $25 bingo package. We also like the chances to be the onstage contestant. I was chosen last year on the Legend. Wound up winning just $20. Got greedy! 😀
