Boarding day wine packages

We're sailing on an offer that includes drinks in the casino.  In the past we have purchased a discounted wine package that was offered on embarkation day.  It came in handy on port days when the casino was closed.  Does anyone who has sailed recently know if it is still offered?

If you mean "cruise the vineyards" wine package, yes it is still offered, at least it was on our last cruise in April. Three or Five bottle package with classic or premium choices. I believe it is offered throughout the cruise, not just on embarkation day, last time we purchased it on day 2 i think

Also remember you can bring on a couple of bottles. We usually get the package too but this time since we had drinks in the casino we didnt ( we would often grab a glass of wine in the casino to bring to dinner)

We have not bought the wine package in many years and you had the option of having all the wine delivered to your room or claiming it one at a time from designated bars.  I notice now they say must be consumed in the DR.  This is a nonstarter for us, as we enjoy a glass or two on the balcony.

I am pretty sure it is how its always been..you get the vouchers which you can use at any bar or in DR. We always take the bottle to our cabin.

Yes,  I would guess that wording  is just trying to encourage people to use the package in the DR and buy drinks/glasses of wine in other venues.  The website probably is not accurate to what happens on the ship??

Agree if you can only use it in the DR, we will pass or buy just the 3 bottle package.

We are doing traditional dining and usually purchase from our server.  Will verify the policy at purchase time.  Also will keep an eye out for recent reports.
