Good day,

We would like a guide tour that goes to the Teide Volcano with the Cable Car excursion. Any recommendation?
Our ship gets into port at 11AM and leave at 10PM. Last cable car is about 5PM. That is in October 2023

Thanks

I don't know of tour companies but I've been up Mount Teide a couple of times when having holidays in Tenerife. The same thing happens every time so be prepared. The summit is about 12000 feet above sea level so is much colder than the coastal towns where most of the holiday makers who visit Teide are coming from. There are always people who turn up to the cable car in shorts and t-shirts and nothing else, totally oblivious to the temperature difference. Don't be one of those.

We have driven up Teide (with rental cars) twice and enjoyed the trip (one time we drove above the clouds).  As to the Cable Car, the two times we drove the cable car station it was closed due to high winds.  And we agree with the other poster that it can quite chilly when you get near the top where temperatures can easily be 40 degrees colder than at sea level.
