Elegant night dress for Alaska

I’ve seen where several people have said that elegant night attire is much more relaxed on the Alaska cruises compared to Carribbean. Would jeans and a dresser top be allowed for women and kids in the MD? Just don’t want to pack dresses if we really don’t need them.

Definitely, nice jeans and a dressy top would be fine for elegant night in Alaska.  The dress is more casual on the Alaska cruises.

The stated dress code does not change depending on where the ship is. Now, while people might dress more casually, that's a different question.

We have been on 4 Alaskan cruises and what you have chosen will be fine.  The Alaskan cruise is probably one of the most relaxed dress codes
