Dream Class is our favorite because of Ocean Plaza. Love the Rock Bands.

Alternate lunches between Guy's Burger and Blue Iguana burrito.  Never had dinner in the Lido. Always do steakhouse and/or Chef's Table.

Never done a water slide or been in a pool.  (Serenity Hot Tub is a different story.)

Won 2 BJ tournaments, and do wish they would come back.

Never been to an art auction, not sure why they're even there.

Carry golf clubs on board and played in Cozumel, Roatan, Montego Bay, Curacao, St. Thomas, Aruba, Nassau, Freeport, Key West, St. Kitts, and Cabo.

1 Journeys Cruise (loved it), and looking forward to re-positioning the Pride from Tampa to Baltimore in April.

This is a fun topic and I really enjoyed reading all the fun stats. Her are a few of mine that might be unique.

First cruise 10 year anniversary 1999.

Total cruises so far 30 all with Carnival (262 sea days).

15 different ships.

Made Diamond on our 22nd cruise before our milestone cruise at 25.

Shortest cruise 5 days (had to go to Cuba)

Longest cruise 23 days (Long Beach to Sydney Australia) Also my favorite cruise.

Last cruise was our smallest Sign and Sail bill $3.76 after tips and everything (thanks COVID OBC) I also don't drink. We did eat at the steak house and usually do at least once.

We have done a balcony on 28 of those 30 cruises (first one was ocean view also did a 10 day Med. with 9 stops couldn't see getting a balcony no time to be on it)

On the Australia cruise coming home we saw the same sunrise twice on the same day first in Brisbane and then again in LA. I find the time thing so fascinating with travel like that.

Wow!   I played in Cabo (Cabo Real), but that was on a land vacation.   I’m getting on the Celebration tomorrow, 6/25/23, to celebrate my 30th anniversary.   I can say with 100% certainty that I wouldn’t be celebrating my 30th if I tried to play golf on all of those cruise stops.

Golf (and casino) were the enticements my wife used to get me on my first cruise. And she has been very understanding ever since. I can either go on a golf trip with the boys, or go on a cruise with her and spend a few hours on 1 or 2 port days enjoying my time.  It is, after all, my vacation too.

Cruising has changed drastically since our first cruise in 1982.

We have lost count of our cruises.  The number is in the 40s

We have sailed 12 different cruise lines.  Five of them no longer exist.

I won a SOS on every Carnival Cruise that we have been on.

  • I've sailed the Dream twice. This is my only repeated ship.
  • We have had Chris Williams as cruise director 3 times. Have never repeated any other director.
  • I've sailed from New Orleans 5 times and only cruised from 2 other ports - Galveston & Mobile (adding Port Canaveral in October).
  • I eat a breakfast burrito every morning of the cruise except for the morning we do Sea Day Brunch so I average 4-6 burritos depending on length of cruise.
  • I've never attended a comedy show.
  • I've only attended maybe 2 Playlist Productions out of every cruise I've been on.
  • I've only gotten in the pools once out of all my cruises.
  • I have NEVER gotten ice cream.
  • Every cruise I have ever been on has included Cozumel except for my Alaska cruise. (My next 2 cruises do not have it as a port either.)

Ok I forgot that I have also cruised out of Seattle (Alaskan cruise slipped my mind when typing that stat). It won't let me go back and edit. 🙂

I turn Platinum on our upcoming cruise.

We only book balcony rooms.  If the ship has a Cloud 9 Spa then we book a Spa Balcony.

I don't like the chocolate melting cake.

I love Guy's Burger.

We had 3 cruises canceled during the plague. Our upcoming cruise on the Vista is our first cruise back.

We've stayed on the ship only one port day, Belize.

My favorite ports are St Thomas, San Juan, Cozumel and Roatan.

Least favorite ports, any Jamaican port and Belize.

I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments, so I'll ad mine 🙂

  • We've sailed on 13 Carnival cruises and only repeated 1 ship

Also sailed 2 Royal, 2 Princess and 1 NCL

  • We've sailed out of 9 ports
  • All have been 7-9 days other than our first cruise which was 4 days and a company sponsored trip
  • We have ship replicas for every ship we've been on except Panorama (they didn't have any in stock)
  • Lido is our favorite deck to stay on and will only get a balcony if offered a great deal -

We aren't in our rooms that much to enjoy it for the extra cost

  • Only stayed on ship in port one time (LaRomana)
  • Only taken one ship excursion - usually just get off ship and find something to do, often taxi to beach
  • We love sea days!
