Specialty dining lunch attire

Recommended Posts

We have lunch reservations at Giovanni's. Are nice shorts and a Polo shirt appropriate for my husband?

I mean, I see people in the mdr wearing cutoffs, ratty tshirts, and a ball cap, or workout clothing even on "formal" night, so it seems dress codes have gone by the wayside. That said, we'd like to not stand out by being underdressed.

TIA

There is no dress code, especially for lunch.

We dress nicely for dinner every night  (casual for us is slacks, polo shirt, sundress etc ) but wore shorts and tops for lunch in Giovani’s.  In fact we just put them on over our  dry swimwear.

You  will not be out of place in shorts and a polo shirt.

Nice shorts and polo shirt are welcomed in any Royal restaurant.
