Just under 3,900 passengers on board, of which nearly 2,500 are new cruisers, with 1300 crew.

The Captains welcome party has returned to the atrium and was well attended by passengers dressed to impress.

I hope your going around Andy and telling all the new cruisers how’s cruising has gone down hill since you was on Lusitania’s maiden cruise.

You just cannot tell with the weather in Norway, we got off in beautiful sunshine, got soaked in a shower, now back in sunshine, all within an hour...

The kids are not a major problem for us, just lots of them. Gets a bit noisy in some areas but easily avoided.

As for a good walk, you have very little option on Britannia due to the layout, we are doing around 15,000 steps a day. There is no proper promenade deck, but you can get a bit of a circuit going on the sports decks up top if needed.

Have a great time, it is a lovely ship.

Andy, you're determined to wear out those carpets aren't you.?🤣

Of course😂

They all want to know how many cruises we have done and that other lines are far superior to P&O😂

Glad it made you smile. I posted it again recently on the buffet hygiene thread, from what we saw yesterday, we should all be wearing them in the buffet.. 😂

We will come and find you Dai, but have been quite enjoying playing our own version of 'wheres Wally' called, 'do you think that's Dai' every time we see a scooter😂

You have been everything from teenage boys to old ladies😂😂😂

Happy birthday to Michelle on Wednesday.

I'm pleased you are enjoying your long awaited cruise.

Ryan and Carmella were our servers 4 times in Epicurean June 2-9.

We sat in the first booth to the left of the entrance and I took food photos every night.

They were brilliant so I emailed Paul Ludlow to tell him and he said he would forward my email to the ship so they would be recognised.

Graham.

Thank you Graham & Pauline.

We managed to book the Epicurean for tonight, Wednesday and Thursday, so if we see Ryan & Carmella, we will send your regards.

We had dinner in the Glasshouse last night, that was amazing. The service, food and atmosphere was second to none.

In Olden today, just docking, then off to Birksdall Glacier.

Epicurean on Britannia was always our favourite restaurant at sea, so I hope that you find it in good order! We are hoping to be dining in there again on Friday. Really looking forward to it.

Enjoy  the glacier. We enjoyed the Troll car up there and were lucky enough to see a section of ice come away from end of the glacier whilst we were looking at it.

It's absolutely chucking it down at the minute and very overcast, so let's hope it clears up a bit.

Sounds amazing Andy.

We dined at 6pm every night in Epicurean or Sindhu.

I'm pleased to hear you got booked for Epicurean.

Graham.

Don't drink the Moretti too quick, it ran out on Arcadia earlier this month!!! Have a good cruise.

Isn't that a good reason for drinking it quicker....🤔😁

I hope that the weather picks up for you, we were really lucky last week in Olden, it was overcast when we went ashore but it cleared and became quite warm.  We are keen walkers so spent the day hiking, my arms were slightly sunburned when we got back to the ship.

No sun today unfortunately, we are like drowned rats...

Still great fun though.

Waking up in Flam today, weather looks better.

The Epicurean last night was  disappointing, but not going to dwell on the negatives.

On a positive note, this version of Pulse are by far the best we have ever seen on a P&O ship.

Great musicians and 2 excellent singers, absolutely fantastic.

Second shows tonight for the Privateers and comedian Herbie Adams. We enjoyed both first shows, so will be returning.

Have a good day everyone.

Delighted to hear that the weather has improved Andy. Iona wasn’t able to dock in Stavanger yesterday due to it and an Arctic rowing team had to postpone the start of their expedition (from Norway) also because of the weather.

I’m so sorry to hear that Epicurean was a disappointment, especially having told you that it was our favourite restaurant at sea! I respect the fact that you don’t want to explain why (just as you didn’t expand on why the MDR was problematic at the start of your cruise), but can I ask a specific question to help us with our cruise (as you know, we embark Britannia when you disembark)?

Am I correct in thinking that because you can only book the speciality restaurants when on board, there is no pre-payment (or commitment) when you book? We were planning on using Epicurean 4 times over the fortnight, but if we find that it’s gone downhill and our first experience (on Friday, hopefully) is below par, would we be able to cancel the other 3 bookings without it costing us anything? I guess if we are going to have an underwhelming experience it’s better to have that in the MDR, where there’s no extra charge for the privilege 😂

Sorry to hear your Epicurean experience was disappointing Andy.

We went to Sindhu for 3 nights at 6pm and our servers were

Dominic and Chester.

They were excellent so I mentioned those 2 gentleman in my email to Paul Ludlow too.

Flam has a good selection of shops next to the ship but everyone raves about the Flam railway.

@Selbourne.

We were on Britannia June 2-9 and booked speciality every night.

They did ask for 24 hours notice if you cancelled so they could accommodate others.

You can easily cancel restaurants on the App.

We ate at 6pm every night and our food and service in both Epicurean and Sindhu was perfect.

Photos are in Epicurean.

Thanks Graham. So, just to confirm, if we make all our speciality restaurant bookings when we board, as long as we give at least 24 hours notice we can cancel and it won’t incur any charge whatsoever?

That's what we were told.

There are 2 menu's during the week and ours changed to menu 2 on Tuesday.

At 6pm we were usually first in as that's when they opened and you could sit anywhere.

We had originally booked when we boarded 4 nights Sindhu and 3 nights Epicurean on the app but the Epicurean restaurant manager swapped our last night ( Thursday) from Sindhu to Epicurean on Tuesday night after dinner.

I sent a glowing email to Paul Ludlow about our servers and food in Epicurean and Sindhu and he emailed back a few hours later thanking me and said my email would be forwarded to the ship.

We personally loved our dining experience in both restaurants.
