Desert Cruisers Posted July 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2023 Doing two B2B cruises - separate booking numbers - on the QE. We have OBC from several sources - Future Cruise Deposit, shareholder, travel agent, & Cunard- on both sailings. Perhaps someone can give me insight as to how Cunard handles OBC... Can unused OBC from cruise #1 be "rolled over" to cruise #2? If we have a "real money" balance at the end of cruise #1 after using all of the cruise #1 OBC, will our credit card be charged or will the balance due be "rolled over" to cruise #2? The second option would be preferable since we can then use cruise #2 OBC to pay the balance. Thanks for any guidance or opinions.
esrs Posted July 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2023 The OBC does not roll over and our experience with B2Bs is that the account is closed out at the end of each trip. You'll receive a new cruise card with a new account number.
Winifred 22 Posted July 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2023 You should get two lots of shareholders credit one for each voyage as they have different booking numbers. You will have to apply for this though in your normal way quoting both booking references. Can’t help with other sources as only ever get shareholder or Cunard OBC . You won’t be able to carry any over from one cruise to other . Any left will be lost.
majortom10 Posted July 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2023 Cannot rollover OBC from one cruise to other. If you use all OBC on first cruise and have a cash balance it will be charged to your credit/debit card at end of first cruise.
Desert Cruisers Posted July 2, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted July 2, 2023 Thanks for info. Not what we wanted to hear. It's interesting that different cruise lines under the same corporate umbrella can have such different policies and IT systems. Standard procedure on Princess to roll over OBC and charges with one final bill at the end. Oh well....
Winifred 22 Posted July 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2023 Cunard and P& O come under Carnival U K so will have different policies to other Carnival brands. Similarly Princess may have different policies to say Costa , Aida, HAL , Seabourne, Carnival or P&O Australia. All under Carnival Corp .
