21st birthday on Embarkation Day

How does it work if the embarkation day is someone’s  21st birthday (for sailing from port Canaveral where the drinking age is 21)

 

I’m wondering if the drink package can be purchased in advance (since passenger will be  of age the entire cruise) ?

And/or if there is any other hiccups that I am not thinking of?

The age of the passenger for the duration of the cruise is based their age at embarkation. I would think/hope with that in mind, you should be able to purchase the beverage package ahead of time.

Their date of birth should be entered when you book the cruise, so their age on the ship is 21.  You should be able to buy the drink package prior to sailing.

I believe you have to call to get the drink package in this scenario. Online takes your current age, not age during the cruise
