Princess used to have an enhanced tea in the Piazza for a $10.00 upcharge. Does anyone know if it’s back?

I just read about it on the Princess website.  Apparently it provides higher end food, a glass of champagne and it is served in the Piazza. It's $10, $20 with Champagne.

I saw it on the Royal’s earlier cruises but not since then on any of the Royal-class ships (Royal, Regal, Majestic, Sky, Discovery) we’ve sailed.

It's on the Princess website but who knows if it's only on certain ships?

It is also shown on their current dining PDF as available on Enchanted, Regal, Royal & Sky so apparently they are offering Royal Afternoon Tea again. Hopefully someone with recent experiences on these ships will confirm or deny it’s current availability.

We just got off the Royal Princess yesterday, after an amazing Alaskan cruise, and there was no regular afternoon tea service in the dining room, let alone any Royal Afternoon Tea being offered.

We were very surprised because we thought tea service was a daily standard on Princess.

There were a few scones, cream, and jam available in the Horizon Bakery but not really the same experience.

On a bright note, afternoon tea is available to Elite CC on request and we were able to enjoy that in our cabin.

As I recall recently reading the no charge afternoon tea in a dining room is now only offered on sea days? Maybe it’s the same thing for the Royal Afternoon Tea on those 4 ships?

We rarely have the elite afternoon tea in our cabin because it’s too much food before our 6:00 dinner. My wife occasionally goes to the buffet for those few items as a light snack.

Much larger than last year on the Royal Princess and this time they set up a table instead of a trayScreenshot_20230709-101651_Photos.thumb.jpg.d0db6073b7682f9dd56a0ccf9ca61349.jpg

How very disappointing that afternoon tea is no longer offered even on sea days! It is something I was looking forward to on my upcoming July 29th sailing on the Royal...boo!

It's possible but it wasn't advertised in the patter.

We did stumble upon the Pub Lunch on the last day of the cruise. It was in the dining room, not the Crown Grill. (Crown Grill was open for lunch with same specialty menu as dinner).

Many people went to the dining room expecting a normal lunch and was disappointed with the Pub Lunch menu. The table next to us proceeded to all ordered cheeseburgers (6) and no dessert (did not want the bread pudding at all!)
