Best way to get a group from Newark International Airport hotel to Manhattan cruise terminal?

In September we are going on a cruise and will be arriving in Newark(EWR) the day before staying at the springhill suites right by the airport.

On the day of the cruise we are looking to transport 12 of us (11 adults 1 toddler) from the hotel to the cruise terminal. Having luggage seems to complicate options.

 

What have any of you done in the past?

Best: Hire a car service. Cheapest: Take the train, then several taxis..
