Book now or wait till on board?

We are looking at a cruise in October of next year.  The question is, should we book now or wait till October of this year while we are on our next cruise to book?  Or, can we still just buy a certificate on board then book right away with our TA (they give us quite a bit of OBC)?

Book what you want now with a refundable deposit and if you get a better deal in October, cancel.

Why not book with your TA now and see if a better price comes along later?  Price may go up between now and October or the cabin you want is gone.  May not be worth it to wait for that FCD OBC.  I am sure you will remember to buy extra FCD's in October, right?

Especially if you have a particular set of cabin requirements it is best to book as early as possible before your favorite cabins are taken

If you choose to wait and book onboard you can transfer it to your personal TA when you get home.
