Thank you all for this very helpful information. We are doing a B2B on September 15 from Vancouver to Yokohama (14 nights) and then Yokohama to Yokohama (12 nights) on Celebrity Millenium. We arrive in Yokohama at 7am and leave at 7pm. Is it feasible for us to take the train into Tokyo for a few hours and get back in time for the 7pm departure?

It should be possible. You will have to stay onboard to be processed and get your new  keycard etc, so maybe you will be off the ship by 9:30, then you can walk to the train station and get the train to Tokyo, have some time to walk around, have lunch and then get back for your sailing. You will need to be onboard by probably 6pm. Another note, the ship offered a tour for b2b guests only , but it wasn’t announced  until you were onboard.

From Osanbashi terminal walk 10 min to subway Nihon-Odori station; ride the Minatomirai Line all the way to Shibuya (40 min, ¥540), if time permitted, adventure to Shinjuku. If return from Shinjuku station 1. Shonan-Shinjuku Line to Yokohama station, change to Minatomirai Line to Nihon-Odori station or 2. walk to Shinjuku-sanchome station, Fukutoshin Line to Nihon-Odori station (55 min, ¥720)

Do you recall what they offered for that B2B tour?  We are on B2B on Millennium in March/April...but ours are both Yokohama to Yokohama--so we're flying into Haneda 5 days early and staying in Shinjuku...We've got two tours planned for our pre-cruise already and one more for the disembarkation day after the second cruise since our flight doesn't leave until late.  By the time they would let us know what this tour encompasses, we might already have seen the places they are visiting. Probably okay though...with our intensive itinerary, we were planning on just staying on the ship on turnaround day.

I’m not sure, we didn’t take it because we already had our day planned out.  We took the subway toTokyo to our pre cruise hotel to pick up some kimonos we had ordered, had lunch and then returned. We had time to walk around the China Town in Yokohama and visit the October Fest that was going near the pier.( yes I know, Hofbrau Haus beer garden in the middle of Japan, kind of a mix of cultures!) Then onto the ship in time for sailing.

Thank you Poconolady and Michael for your response. Very helpful!  We will go for it!

You can spend several hours in Shibuya:
1. Hachikō Memorial Statue
2. Shibuya Scramble Crossing
3. Shibuya Sky
4. MEGA Don Quijote
5. Myth of Tomorrow

. . .

Have you been to Kamakura, 40 min by train from Yokohama? Kotoku-in - bronze statue of the Buddha.

In March we are going to Japan but need help with transfers please.

We fly in to Narita airport then off to Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku. 2 days later need to get from the hotel to Osanbashi Cruise port in Yokohama. After the cruise need to get from the Cruise to Narita airport for a 3pm flight.

I have heard about the limousine bus, but am confused where we would get it at the end of the cruise. Please help!

From Keio Plaza Hotel, you need to get to Shinjuku Station - just a few streets away - to catch the Narita Express train to Yokohama Station. Then, Yokohama Station to Osanbashi Terminal is a 10 minute taxi ride.

After your cruise:

The Limousine Bus picks people up at all the major hotels and train stations in Yokohama.

You could probably walk from Osanbashi Cruise Terminal in Yokohama to one of the Hotels across the street.

Or you could take a taxi to one of the hotels, or to Yokohama Station, to catch the bus to Narita.

Or you could take the Narita Express Train from Yokohama Station to Narita Airport.
