graceinga Posted July 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2023 Hi - does anyone know if it is possible to connect my iPad (with or without a cable) to the cabin TV on a balcony cabin on Equinox? I've downloaded a few shows to watch at bedtime and would love to be able to take advantage of the larger screen on the tv if possible. Thanks! phoenix_dream Posted July 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2023 Following. There have been a number of posts about this type of thing but I confess I get very confused with the instructions. If the answer is yes, I hope someone can be very specific about how to do it!
ymncruise Posted July 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2023 There is an adapter you can buy on Amazon. I haven’t tested it on a ship, but it works great at home. I found out about it on these forums. You would need to take the adapter, an hdmi cable, and a universal remote with you. I’m not in my cabin much so I haven’t tried it on a ship yet. If you search the forums the info should come up.

Rare DaKahuna Posted July 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2023 It’s often hard to find a power outlet convenient to the TV. I carry a couple of 10-foot USB-A to USB-C as well as USB-C to USB-C cables in addition to a 6-Foot HDMI cable.m

They recently added an option on the main screen of the tv for Streaming. You click the link and it pops up a window with a code. You go to tv.Celebrity.com and connect then you use the casting function on your tablet or phone. Originally you would need a HDMI connection cable from your iPad to the TV. Then follow this tutorial.

But it apparently doesn't connect for a number of popular streaming platforms per their Amazon description: Stream videos from popular apps like YouTube, Quickflix, Hulu Plus, IDMB, Family On TV, ABC, NBC, FOX, Microsoft Office, and more. Please note that it does not work with apps that have "HDCP" video copyright protection, such as Netflix, Prime Video, Amazon Video, HBO Go, Hulu, etc.
