Favorite pasta

Depends what I'm cooking. But paccheri often features at Casa Harters.

Or where I'm eating it. I'm a messy eater with pasta, so never order long pasta in a restaurant, as I'm bound to find half my dinner down my shirt.

By the by, my new favourite pasta cookbook, is Rachel Roddy's "A - Z of Pasta". Set out alphabetically, with recipes for each pasta (and suggestions for OK substitutions).

I don't know whether it was the best but it was certainly the most memorable. And a very rare break of my habit of not ordering long pasta. This was at Al Commercio in Bardolino on Lake Garda. Tagliatelle with donkey sauce. I managed not to make an ass of myself.
