CruiseDuck Posted August 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2023 I read that Gold and above have priority with tender tickets. I read somewhere that you do not need to get an actual ticket you can just get in line and show your cruise card. Anyone familiar with how this works? Thanks! Rare KeithJenner Posted August 8, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2023 It works exactly as you said. When tender tickets are released you don’t need to worry. You just turn up when you are ready to go ashore. Just be aware that this doesn’t mean that you can jump the queue. You just get to join the queue when you want, rather than having to prebook a time. It is always possible that things could work differently on a particular cruise, but I’ve always found the way this works to be very consistent.
tgloersen Posted August 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2023 (edited) On the Joy, they had us meet up at the comedy club when we were ready to go to shore. The representative just brings us to the front of the line. Yah it worked nicely, no tickets required. sherylc Posted August 8, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2023 Has there been any priority on return to the ship or only FROM the ship?

I don't believe I've ever seen any priority tendering to go back to the ship, other than possibly something for Haven guests.

With or without a tender ticket, you can join the back of the line. Some NCL Shore Excursions and Haven guests will be escorted to the front of the line. Our worst experience was on the Epic where it took us an hour to get from the back of the line to actually being on a tender. Most times, it will be a lot quicker.

I wish their routine was put into place fleet wide.
MiniJeffrey Posted August 9, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2023 On some ships they will do the following: in the morning (when everyone wants to get off) people with priority tendering will be gathered at a venue and you will then be escorted to get to the tender boats. When the rush is over you can just show up and show your card. Chances are that you'll get a boat fairly quickly anyway so they might nog do priority access anymore. There was one report here, probably mis-understood, of escort back on. Never seen it. There has been report of separate line at GSC to go back to ship. Did not experience. Getting back is usually more spread out so not an issue usually.
