Athens Airport

[Postcards]

Fly out of Athens in the afternoon, September 12th. Would anyone have a suggested time to allow before flight? As we expect it could be busy.

You will see its a 40 minute drive from port to airport, so certainly anything before 10am can't be recommended, particularly going non-stop to Canada or the US. Maybe a 11am flight?

And, of course, it all depends on when you are able to leave your ship.  Without that starting point, all other discussions are pure speculation.

Clarification,

after our cruise we are spending a couple of days in Mati. 

Just wondering how early to be at airport before a 2:55pm flight. 2 hrs/3hrs? Longer?

From the Athens Airport website...We would plan to arrive 3 hours.....

 

How early should I arrive at Athens Airport?

A two-hour arrival before the flight is recommended, especially during the peak season, which is during the summer.

Longer than 3 hours is definitely not required. 2.5 hours should be fine.
