And it has been moved to the Pan Canal board!  Virtually all passenger ships that transit the Canal do so with reservations.  These reservations provide them a transit on a given day within a certain time period.  The reservations are made at at considerable expense above and beyond the tolls.

I did a B2B in April. West to East then back East to West. On the first leg, it was smooth sailing. On the return trip, we had traffic. We had to stop a couple of times and wait, two hours one time until we got underway again. The return trip also took a good 12 hours. Started the journey at sunup and were leaving the canal at sundown.
