FAS gratuities ...Where am I miscalculating ?

I am currently doing mock bookings considering winter 2024 cruises . I thought I understood that Gratuities for the FAS beverage package would be calculated as follows ..... $109 per day for the package (X 20%) = $21.80 pp pd ...X2 people ($43.60) ... X7 days ($305.60). Maybe they charge for 8 days? ($349.20)?

Yet , in the mock booking It shows open bar gratuities at $402.58..??

Can someone please explain where I am going wrong .

Also as an aside , Govt. taxes , Fees and Port Expenses seem consistently and substantially higher than RCI..Odd

Thx

Cheers

Are you sure you are mock booking a 7 day cruise? It appears it's charging for 9 days.
Our 7 day Alaska for 2024 shows $305.20 for the FAS beverage package for 2 people.

I wondered the same, but even a 9 day cruise doesn't equal the amount above.

9 days would be $392.40 by my math...but yes it is a 7 day cruise

Aaah , that must be it . It must be the canadian conversion

mystery solved , thx

I have deliberately held off on paying for certain excursions and upgrades until the exchange rate is more favourable as the pricing does change in line with currency fluctuations.  Thankfully I hit a reasonable exchange rate for that stuff before the euro started weakening again. I’m now waiting for it to strengthen again before I get my dollars for Alaska.
