Booking onboard and combinable OBC

Recommended Posts

We put the deposit down onboard last year and then booked the week after, so still got the OBC. I was also able to add the MyVEGAS freeplay (which you have to do within 30 days of booking the cruise).

I then also got additional random OBC , which I think may have been a contribution from the casino for what I gambled (and lost) last year - customer services could t tell me what it was for!

Hi, I have never booked onboard. What do they offer you to make it worth while and how does it work. Thanks

Booking onboard gives you some obc and a lower deposit. This is for a nonrefundable deposit. The deposit for refundable is the same, not reduced and you get less obc for refundable deposit bookings. Couples for instance I was told for the 7 day I booked would have gotten $76 obc rather than $100 if they booked refundable... I booked DP340 solo so it came back overnight onboard at $75 obc solo. Only $1 less than what a couple would have gotten.

Then I transferred to my ta to change my refundable onboard booking to a group rate price, with my D+ and DP340 discounts.

If you want a refundable group rate, be sure and book refundable onboard. You cant book nonrefundable to get the full $100 obc for 7 days and then move it to a refundable group rate. Once you book nonrefundable it stays that way. For me I sacrificed the extra $25 obc to get refundable.

That's only because or rounding and sometimes couple still get the $75.  If they apply it to one guest then it is $75, if it gets split between 2 guests it is $37.50 per guests but they round up to $38 peer guest.  No different than the Diamond discount, sometimes you get $225 othertimes you get $226, its just based on whether they apply it to one or 2 guests
