chriscec2012 Posted August 31, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2023 I am booked in an ocean view balcony guarantee on Allure for October. I was able to log in originally when I booked the cruise a few weeks ago and bid for jr suites, grand suite, etc which I did. I woke up to all my bids being cancelled and when I go back in to Royal up it’s giving me options to bid on inside and ocean view cabins which are below what I already have. I assume this is because I’m on a guarantee and room hasn’t been selected yet by Royal?
marci22 Posted August 31, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2023 So they want you to bid more on a lower category stateroom? Sounds like a mistake.
SilkySal Posted August 31, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2023 (edited) Yep, that does not sound right to me either. I would call to confirm that you indeed have a guaranteed balcony room; then, ask them the Royal Up question, as well. I can see my cabin # in the app in the barcode of my boarding pass (it’s definitely an ocean view balcony) but it just hasn’t been assigned to me yet and the cabin # still says GTY. If it’s not corrected in the next week or so I will reach out to them as our cruise isn’t until October 1.
LeeW Posted September 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2023 If you actually are assigned a cabin early then Royal Up should open up for that new category. Might take a few days after the official assignment.
