St. Maarten Beach help - long walks difficult

We will visit St Maarten on the Celebration Sept 21st (23) fairly early in the am.

Would like a beach that is family friendly, a bar for a few drinks and snacks.

Would like to avoid the nudity but understand topless is difficult to control.

I cannot walk far, so we will take a taxi to and from.

We'll need umbrella and chairs.

We have not visited the island for the past 10-15 years so not sure what to expect.  We have visited Orient Beach n the past.  But I'm thinking in my age I may want to be closer to the ship.  I wouldn't be interested with Maho due to the loud aircraft noise.

Comments appreciated.

Thank you!

I would recommend Divi Little Bay.  It is best beach close to ship (we do not swim in Great Bay), usually is about as calm as any beach, has beach bar, can rent chairs and umbrellas, and is family friendly.  Walk to beach from taxi drop off is about as short as any beach.

Consider Coco, book the day with beds in advance

https://www.cocobeach.restaurant

Walk from taxi to Coco is along flat terrain and children are welcomed.

Excellent food and drinks with a special menu for young ones.

Give them a call to discuss all one’s group requirements.  All will be met at Coco.

Great Beach near the cruise port and in Phillipsburg is very calm. Orient Beach is mostly calm and I have heard DIVI Beach is good.   We have a timeshare there and have been going for years.  We stay in Maho.  I got hurt at Mullet Beach several years ago and do not go in the water at most of the beaches but I would at the three above.

Little Divi Beach is much closer than Orient Beach but nicer than Great Beach. Very short walk and they do rent chairs.  There is several bars but in Feb there was no beach drink service. You had to go to the bar and buy what you want.  We love Orient beach but our last few trips the seaweed has been bad.  We are going back to Divi in October.
