Anyone able to get Wi-Fi calling to work on carnival Venezia?

Currently on ship but first time on cruise ship where I am not able to get Wi-Fi calling to work. I am using visible and other are using T-Mobile but both don’t seem to work . Would appreciate if anyone got tips to get it working or if it just don’t work. I got the premium Wi-Fi internet pkg

Wi-Fi calling is blocked on Carnival’s ships.

Wifi calling never works for me on other carnival ships and other cruise line

Use WhatsApp to call your friends from the ship. WhatsApp uses a different protocol than wifi calling and is less likely to be blocked.

I would try using a VPN to get around the port blockage.

If you can adjust the VPN settings try enabling Obfuscated Servers (OpenVPN-TCP) or equivalent under Protocols.

VPNs are blocked as well, at least the ones I tried using.

They block some of the common ports used by some VPNs. Change the VPN protocol and you change the ports your VPN uses.

Very “old-school” but ship to shore service is still available via your stateroom telephone. There’s a per-minute charge billed to your on-board account, but for an important work call, maybe this would be a solution.

I thought I was the only one that never could get wifi calling to work. Glad I am not the only one.

I can't think of any logical reason to block wifi calling.

Yep used it once for a call that was about 10-15 mins, bill was about $100 for the call. Won't be doing that again..
