Fall Colors

Trying to plan a last minute cruise to Canada and the Northeast to celebrate our 37th anniversary!  Could someone reply as to the best time to see Fall colors as the season changes? Is mid October too late?   Was thinking it must be between 9/15-10/10 or so?

Usually peak time is around Columbus Day.

That's Thanksgiving Day in Canada.

you might find this helpful - you can choose a date and see the predicted color indicator for the US, but I'd assume the Canadian provinces north of Maine are a week or so ahead?
