For me it's not enjoyable to go on a premier or elite cruise.  I get the invites, then avoid those cruises.  I enjoy my time in the casino but I really don't enjoy it when it's overly crowded.

I hear you! I actually cancelled a cruise because they turned it into an Elite cruise. And it was one I wanted to go on very much. But after accidentally booking a premium earlier this year...never again. I like to play, I like to move around, I like not having smoke blowing in my face.

And here I thought I was in the minority with that - guess not!

Nope, I invest 10x my bet and move on. So If I'm playing $2 a spin, once I have lost $20 I'm done with that machine. That $20 does not last too long these days.

I got a good offer. Balcony and DOUE, OBC.  Not an elite. The elite cruise benefits looks great. But wow they have to spend alot. I don't spend a ton. Just around the amount of full price cabin and cheers. I just spend my money in a fun way. Lol

Excuse my lack of education on the gambling "thing" and gambling cruise offers.

Am I interpreting your post correctly; you gamble close to the amount a cabin would cost and cheers pkg and in turn you get comped a room?

I am so glad I played enough last cruise to upgrade to Drinks everywhere. My sister and I would have been miserable.  We will stay up late and get our machine time in. How are machines at 11 pm?

Still very busy. Elite would be nice, but I don't have the bankroll to qualify for that. I would be happy to just get DOUE. Even if my cabin wasn't comped, DOUE would be a game changer. Unfortunately I've mostly moved on from spending money in Carnival's casinos so I probably won't ever see my offers include that.

That sucks. Hopefully you will be able to find that itinerary again and it not turn into a casino cruise. But....the nicer itineraries usually do. Carnival just can't fill them with their average clientele.

Yes. My slot machine budget is less than 2k on a typical seven day cruise. I always tip well for every drink, buy photos, eat at steakhouse, use spa and carnival excursions.  I know it is not proven but I believe my overall spending behavior helps me get offers.

Thanks....since I am not a gambler, but I have no problem with those that are, I can not imagine feeding any slot machine or table $2k, but to each his/her own how you choose to spend your $$$ is your choice,  I can't imagine what Elite cruisers spend.

Remember that about 40% of the time I come out even or leave the ship with more funds than my slot machine budget.

No chance of getting a drink if I need to be actively playing. I did not see a single machine without a body at it.

Not feeling people-y right now so I'm sitting outside semi secluded listening to the waves crash against the ship.

This is a great way to spend an evening.

Thank you for your review! We’re boarding Freedom when it gets to Port Canaveral. Would you, please, share with us the current Executive Chef and Hotel Director? They change so often now. Thank you!

I've met them a few times but  I'm terrible with names I'll get back to you with their names.

Lunch was OK. I'm not big on Spanish food.

I'm not sure how authentic any of it was though. I had to Google pincho de tortilla to see what it was and I got pictures of a quiche type dish. What I was served was scalloped potatoes with onion rings and a tomato sauce.

Grabbed a coffee and some Seabourne literature. They actually have Future Cruise Consultant on-board this trip.

My mom has expressed some interest. She is going to have to go solo they are wayyyy out of my price range.
