I don’t know about that. Do you remember the elderly American a few years ago on a minibus trip in some rather violent South American country, who, when they were attacked by some muggers, was able to recall the training he had had in the Marine Corps sixty years before and strangle one of them with his bare hands?

I do like a story with a happy ending.

That was sexy santa! He was 66 years old and I could only dream of being that fit at his age 😆. He won his category.

That dude is my spirit animal. Love it.

I went looking for details on that story, but Marines choking people is in the news a lot. No luck.

As I don't have any marine training I guess I won't be doing any aimless wandering if i end up on that South America cruise.

Going there on a cruise in March. No aimless wandering there either 🤣

I don't know what they were either, wasn't there a group of woman called the pink ladies? If that's who they were it's not exactly timely, but then again I heard a man ask out loud what the smurfs were, and it wasn't because he was too YOUNG to get the reference.

I love both foodie foods, and comfort classics so I'm rarely stuck with too few choices.

Five days left 😪

Wow,well if he is 66 I guess he should be proud 😀

I will be sorry to see this end in 5 days. I have enjoyed the back and forth banter with the Cunard gang.   I’m sure not as sorry as you are though.

Yes they are at the buffet and quite tasty. I was not expecting that the forst time I tried it. Now when I see it available I grab a bowl and load up.

On what line is the South American journey on?  When will it take place?  I know you mentioned it but I don’t have time to go back several pages. Sorry!

Cunard's Queen Victoria in I believe January 2025. It's far from a done deal though. In fact I think it may require a surprise lottery windfall to make it happen.

Oh maybe the price will come down. I hope for Mom’s sake it works out. Prices are pretty crazy across all lines right now.

That would be a super trip. For us too long to be away from home in the winter. I should spend my time worrying the pipes had frozen up or something. Perhaps you could make a fortune before then by publishing a best selling guide, called something like, ‘How to cruise’, based on your experiences.

For Cunard and that many nights the price isn't really too terrible. But it still becomes a lit of money 😆

My mom would have no problem affording the trip but I was surprised she had as much interest as she is showing. She's not the big cruise fan like I am.

Sadly nobody reads these days. The money is in YouTube and I'm not a fan of being on that side of the camera. You may have noticed there are no selfies on this review 😀

Hmmm. They read on Cunard. A friend of mine is just about to have his first book published, on life as a Concorde pilot. Then you get invited on Cunard to talk about it. Perhaps that would be the way to go, be an invited author.

I see in the papers today, that the supermarket Sainsbury’s is going to start selling pineapples without crowns. This will make it much harder to tell which way up they are. Don’t know how this might affect things for some of your fellow passengers.

I'm not sure my experiences would be very relatable to the Cunard audience. At best, a sense of curiosity on how the other half lives so to speak, but a guide on how to cruise would probably not sell well to the market that reads.

You know I once tried to place one upside down in the grocery store to be funny and found it quite impossible to do. Perhaps this will solve that problem.

I should think a Cunard audience might find it hilarious, all the time enjoying the schadenfreude.

Did this elite cruise finally bust out?

The casino is not full for once.

Bar servers just standing around.

I was immediately approached and ordered. Drink came back so quick I hadn't even had time to write out my last post.

Filled in the tip line and signed and was immediately greeted with "shall I bring another in five minutes"

A guy could get used to this!

Sorry politely agree to disagree....I am a BIG reader.  Grew up reading and going to the library.

Before I retired and worked in the corporate world I did not have time to read....making up for it now that I am retired and love it...bring my Kindle everywhere!   I do still enjoy holding a book as well.
