HicksRA Posted September 6, 2023 #26 Share Posted September 6, 2023 There is no wrong way. I cruise my way and you cruise your way. We’re both right…

Try these for added enjoyment: -Over tipping (or not at all) -Not dressing up in formal night -Bring your pet disguised as a service animal -Demand twice a day stateroom service -See if there are any takers to the upside down pineapple on your door -Each day, give a different stranger a free drink using your beverage package -Prank call guest services from your stateroom "Each day, give a different stranger a free drink using your beverage package" ooh, i do like this one. We use to get a high off of giving adult couples with no kids our FastPasses to skip the line at Disney Parks.(Before Disney Nuked their fastpass system) Adults need nice things done for them sometimes when they least expect it. ❤️ The world can be so cold when you aren't a cute lil kid anymore.

Plenty of free things todo That will likely be my only port that I leave the ship on for the inaugural
FTLCruiseGal Posted September 7, 2023 #29 Share Posted September 7, 2023 If you are a spa person, they usually offer spa deals on port days. You can sometimes, and I stress sometimes, get really good deals. I haven’t looked at the spa prices post-covid, so I cannot say what the deals may be. Heck, I’m not sure they put flyers in the room anymore since everything is on the app. I guess I didn’t pay much attention last time I cruised.

(Cali/Catalina Island/Ensenada/Cali Itinerary ). Last week we, by some stretch of luck and a neat travel agent, scored a balcony cabin on Icon of the Seas for 1/3 of the website price...and we still feel like we are going to skip all the ports and stay on the ship for all 7 days. We figure that there are enough Western Caribbean sailings available that those ports "aren't going anywhere" and We'd have a hard time justifying a 9K balcony room under normal Website prices, so I doubt we will be seeing the ICON again for at least half a decade. Heck, even Coco Cay seems less worth getting off the ship for if Icon already has a smorgasbord of lounging areas and its OWN water park baked into the crust. IDK are we making a mistake by skipping ports and soaking up as much of the "brand new ship smell" as possible? Are we "Cruising wrong"? I done many B4B and some whole Sailings I don't step off the Ship and this on older Ships. Like have the Ship(for most part) to myself
Rare cruiselvr04 Posted September 7, 2023 #31 Share Posted September 7, 2023 Many might feel the way you do on Icon. It might not be too empty. Unless the weather is bad we always get off at the private islands. It’s so nice to not have to get a cab but walk right to a beach where it’s all included. I’d at least get off and check it out. There is no wrong way to cruise!

Big_G Posted September 7, 2023 #33 Share Posted September 7, 2023 You'll probably need all 4 days just to get familiar with the ship. She's a big one.
