JonoBhoy Posted September 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2023 On a recent Celebrity Cruise they didn't open the bars until sail away and we plan on staying onboard on a couple of ports on our upcoming Seaview sailing from Palma. Can anyone confirm that MSC keep their bars (specifically YC) open whilst in port? Thanks
Rare Essiesmom Posted September 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2023 It may depend on the ports/country. EM
CruisingFox27 Posted September 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2023 I've never known the bars to be closed on port days. Not all well be open, as listed in your daily planner. The only county I've seen restrictions applied is Saudi Arabia, where alcohol isn't served.
Rare morpheusofthesea Posted September 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2023 (edited) All 20 bars are open all days, except Ocean Cay day 6 out of 20 are closed on Caribbean sailings. Edited September 10, 2023 by morpheusofthesea

iwtobek Posted September 10, 2023 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2023 Never seen a bar close in YC in the Med so far. Sailed two Greek Isles cruises with Disney Cruise Line this year, one of them called at Chania and that was the only port of call where bars were closed until the ship left (weird since that was not an issue at any of the other Greek ports, and I seriously doubt port authorities in Greece have the regulative power to enforce this on their location and their location only).
