Diamond/Ambassador 1 time room upgrade: Can you change your assigned upgraded room #?

My Diamond upgrade was  cluster.

I had a free OV room from the casino.

The Diamond upgrade dept said i had to go through CAS to get the upgrade. CAS said no they're not the ones who do the Diamond upgrades.

Eventually it got sorted and i got my upgrade but i don't remember if i could change the balcony room they assigned to me.

For Ambassador, i get a free 7day cruise in  balcony.

I also get an Ambassador 1 time room upgrade.

So my plan is book the Ambassador 7day balcony and use a free casino cruise in OV and upgrade to balcony so it'll be a b2b in the same balcony room.

Does anyone know if i can change my assigned upgraded room to another room?

Thx

Diamond gets you a one-time cabin upgrade, Ambassador gets you a free cruise, not  a one time cabin upgrade.

Whoops, you are right.

I thought ambassadors get both free balcony cruise and another cabin upgrade but

Theres no  checkmark next to upgrade in the loyalty benefits chart for ambassadors.

Thought the ambassadors column got a checkmark in every box.

Wished there was a option for the author of the thread to pick the post that answered his question like some tech forums do.

Thx Cruisebear

cruise bear 55. there are different stages at casinos at sea, depending on your rate of play.

consequently, one can have diamond status at the casino, and ambassador status with ncl directly.

my wife has platinum status at CAS, and we both have "diamond" status with 391 points.

Call whoever controls the reservation, and ask for a different cabin in the same class. If you booked through NCL, then the general reservation line should be able to handle it.

I received an Diamond upgrade last year that I was not happy with (from inside on deck 9 to oceanview on deck 5), so I asked to change to an ocean view cabin on a higher deck. I was then told "no, not possible". So I just said "no thank you", and kept the "one time upgrade" for a cruise I had booked for this year instead. And the cruise where I declined their "free upgrade offer" had a significant pricedrop on club balcony cabins after final payment date, and I ended up just paying $100 per person for an upgrade from a regular inside cabin to a club balcony cabin on a 10 days cruise. Just to avoid any misunderstandings: I just purchased a regular upgrade and just paid the difference between what I had already paid and the current club balcony price. It was not through the "upgrade advantage program".

Complawyer, you may have to recheck this one. The five tier levels at CAS are Jade, Pearl,Sapphire,Ruby, and Elite. One cannot have Diamond status in the casino, as it doesn't exist. And your wife can't be CAS Platinum, as that doesn't exist either. The only duplication between CAS and NCL Latitudes named tiers is they both have a Sapphire level.

ok, so i made a level mistake 1st one in many years (lol), she is pearl, (besides they both start with a "p")

any way, i think i made my point, someone can have more than 1  status on an ncl cruise.

Yeah, but since the OP was talking about a benefit specifically from the Latitude status, that makes only 1 status relevant to the discussion. Your point, fwiw, then becomes pointless.

Besides, cruiserbear55 only stated that a person couldn't have more than one LATITUDE status at a time, which was, and still is, factual and correct. There was nothing in post #3 that could be construed as referencing casino, or any other type of, status.
