Transfer from Barcelona Cruise Port to Airport (BCN)

Greetings.

In a couple of days we will disembark from a cruise ship and need to get to Barcelona airport. We are offered transfer by the cruise company in a coach at more than twice the cost of a taxi.

How easily accessible and how close are taxis to the pier as we leave the ship?

Is it worthwhile to pre- book with a transfer company at slightly more than taxi cost and if so, any recommendations?

Thank you so much for any feedback.

Hi, you should have not had any problem with a taxi in the pier.

May you find there's not any available, dial to any taxi phone in Barcelona. Any taxi number is good but just as an example  +34 933 30330 33   (these are some taxi unions phone number. It really doesn't matter which one providing it is an official taxi.... but do not worry, it is strongly controlled by police and there aren't news about fake taxi)

Pier to airport should cost you no more than 30-35 euro if you travel in a weekday and no more than 35-40 if you travel in weekend or evenings-nights

My taxi experience at Barcelona port is that it works fine.  There MAY or may not be much of a queue for the taxis depending on the timing of passengers coming off the ship.  I saw once where soon after disembarkation began, there was virtually no line for taxis.  Closer to 9:00 am, there was a significant line for taxis.  BUT... even with the significant line, the line was quickly moving.  The taxis were coming and going as fast as they could arrive, fill, and depart.  Multiple taxis would pull up simultaneously, load up and dart off, followed by another wave of taxis to replace them.  The line of people never stopped moving.  It was much like the taxi line at major, large airports.   The walk from the terminal to the taxis is not a long distance.
