Muster Drill on the app

Is RCL offering the muster drill on the app now? I only sailed pre covid, have things changed for the muster drill?

It's not even really a drill anymore. There are a couple videos you can watch in the app that at one point were required watching, but lately they don't even check that when you check-in at your muster station.

Recently off the Radiance and we didn’t even do the app drill. Walked to our station, the guy there said, “you’ve done this before haven’t you?” Then scanned our cards and we were on our way.

We still watch the video, usually over breakfast or in the cab to the port. Show up at muster station then go about our business.  Don't understand why some passengers don't go. They're still calling names at 3 pm of people who haven't reported to their muster station.

The muster drill has changed over the years and Covid did not have anything to do with the changes.  The e-muster was already in the plans prior to 2020 as cruise lines have been reviewing how to best manage the safety laws.  RCCL does not offer it, but rather require you to complete the muster drill by maritime law either on your app, or in your room.  Once you complete the final step, which is to report to your actural muster station, will your process be considered complete.  This is actually the second major change in the muster drill process this decade.

Thanks for all your replies. Nice to know we don't need to go to our muster station and wait, but just report there and be on our way.

Same for us on the several RCI ships we've sailed on this year.
